Last night, I was in the sound booth for youth group after a long day of teaching. I was running all day...in the classroom, then to pick up the four girls that I mentor for a quick dinner before youth group, and then busily trying to get ready for the night's service. There was little time to breathe or think yesterday with all of the details of the day to sort through. But as I looked out over a sanctuary full of students and saw them cry out to God, something clicked inside of me. I understood that I was, IN THAT MOMENT, exactly where I was supposed to be!
Have you ever had a moment like that? Have you ever KNOWN beyond a shadow of a doubt that you were in the moment God created for you? It's amazing! It makes you want to cry or leap for joy, or BOTH! If you've never had a moment like that, find one! Do what makes you feel passionate in life! Find a purpose that is greater than yourself, even if in doing so, you feel humbled and in awe. Sitting in a sound booth, playing songs like a DJ is not a very "glorifying" job, but it's exactly the service the Lord wanted me to perform and I was completely blessed in that service last night. I pray that for each of you that might be reading this...that the Lord will find you in the moment and give you the passion and the peace you've been waiting to feel!
